Who I am

Teacher

Nice to meet you! 👋

I'm Matheus Antunes, dance educator & forró teacher

Started dancing in my hometown (BH-Brazil), and later discovered that people love Forró all around the world! 🌎

I moved to Germany in 2018, first teaching at a well-established association in NRW; then came to Berlin in 2021 to start my own autonomous journey: the Balaio.

I've given workshops in 15 countries so far, and still counting…
🇧🇷🇩🇪🇧🇪🇫🇷🇬🇷🇮🇹🇯🇵🇳🇱🇵🇱🇵🇹🇷🇺🇸🇪🇨🇭🇬🇧🇺🇸...

Some of the topics I love are:

  • Connection (on dance and social levels)
  • Dance Technique (behind and beyond the steps)
  • Musicality (transform the music into movement)
